In 2006, XPC was formed to service the digital signage, entertainment, post production, and advertising industries. Since its inception, XPC has developed custom digital signage software, web based content management systems, workflow automation tools, and provided digital asset management consulting for dozens of companies.

In 2008, XPC became one of the first four certified consulting partners for Apple’s Final Cut Server digital asset management system and is regarded as a top five consulting firm in this area in the United States by the Apple Professional Services division.

In June of 2011, Apple announced the discontinuation of Final Cut Server. Over the past couple years, XPC has been active in researching, testing, and developing digital asset management systems and solutions to both replace and expound upon the capabilities of Final Cut Server. In addition to developing an application to migrate asset metadata out of Final Cut Server and into a number of different asset management systems, XPC has developed a workflow orchestration platform, called Ubiquity, that has advanced integration and system connectors with dozens of the most popular asset management, workflow automation, transcoding, file delivery, and hierarchical storage management systems in use by the largest media-based companies.
